SENSAI in the Portal

If your AIMMS Cloud Platform account has a Portal AI Assistant feature under its contract (see the Usage page to check), you will see the SENSAI icon in the Portal. SENSAI is the AI assistant built into the Portal. Clicking the icon opens the SENSAI chat panel on the right-hand side of the screen.

SENSAI is also available in the AIMMS IDE and in WebUI apps. See SENSAI on AIMMS Cloud for an overview of where SENSAI is available, what your account needs, and the features of the chat panel.

Note

The SENSAI icon only appears for accounts with the Portal AI Assistant feature enabled. If you believe your account should have access but don’t see it, contact your account administrator or AIMMS support.

What SENSAI can help with

The Portal AI Assistant feature grants access to SENSAI within the Portal. The assistant answers your questions about AIMMS and the Portal, and guides you step by step through what you want to do. Type a question into the message box at the bottom of the chat panel to get started.

SENSAI can tell you how to do things in the Portal, but cannot do them for you. For example, if you ask for the log of a session, SENSAI explains where to find and download it, but does not retrieve the log itself.

Things to keep in mind

  • AI responses may contain errors — always verify outputs before acting on them, particularly for critical or high-stakes decisions.

  • SENSAI is a support tool, not an expert substitute — it does not replace the advice of qualified professionals or official AIMMS documentation.

  • Use of SENSAI is subject to AIMMS’s terms and conditions, shown when you first open the chat panel.

Using skills in a conversation

You can ask the assistant to use a specific skill. Type / in the message box to see the skills available to you. Each skill shows its name, its description and where it comes from: you for skills you created, or platform for skills provided by AIMMS. Keep typing after the / to narrow the list, and select a skill to use it in your message.

The list includes your own skills and the skills shared with your account or environment. See AI Skills to create and manage skills.

Skills on demand work the same way in the AIMMS IDE and in running AIMMS app sessions.

Starting a new conversation
