Background

Description

The Background tab of the Gantt Chart properties offers two separate sections to color certain parts of the chart area background: Vertical Bands and Alternating Row Colors.

Show Vertical Bands

With Vertical Bands you can define bands that span the entire height of the chart area. For example, when using a calendar along the horizontal axis, you can define a band that colors the background for ‘the past’ different than the background for ‘the future’. Or you can color the background for certain days of the week differently.

For each band you need to specify the Horizontal Position where to start, the width of the band, and the color to be used to fill the band.

Band Hor. Position

Here you can specify an (indexed) parameter, that determines where a new band appears along the horizontal axis. For each non-default value of this parameter a band will be created.

Band Width

Here you can specify the width of a band. If you specify an indexed parameter, then the indices of this identifier must be a subset of the indices of the identifier that you specified for the Band Horizontal Position.

Band Color

Here you can specify the color of a band. If you specify an indexed color parameter, then the indices of this identifier must be a subset of the indices of the identifier that you specified for the Band Horizontal Position.

Show Alternating Row Colors

When you specify an alternating row color, then the background of the rows of the Gantt chart is colored alternatively with the normal background color and the color specified here.
